I’m Dr. Jose Juan Lara Jr.—a nonprofit consultant, advocate, and founder of J2L Solutions. With over 20 years in victim services, leadership development, and training, my work centers on supporting the people behind the mission.

I started as a legal advocate in a small-town crisis center and grew into leadership roles at the local, state, and national level. Along the way, I’ve worked with grassroots founders, nonprofit boards, and survivor-centered programs to help them grow with purpose, care, and sustainability.

My approach is practical and collaborative—shaped by lived experience, not a one-size-fits-all model. Whether it’s coaching a new director, designing a training, or helping a team reset, I focus on real solutions that support long-term impact.

And while I never set out to be a consultant (or an artist, for that matter), creativity has always found a way into my work—through strategy, collaboration, and even cover art for national conferences.

J2L Solutions is the result of everything I’ve learned so far. I don’t pretend to have all the answers, but I ask good questions and walk alongside those figuring things out.

✨ Let’s connect—if it feels like a fit, I’d love to talk.
